Pottery Wheel Throwing Class for beginners - 1 hr

Join Woodside Ceramics in Dayboro for this great new workshop learning how to use the Potters' Wheel. Make a journey to feed your creativity and relax in the therapeutic practise of clay.

This session is the perfect way to be introduced to pottery.

It's a 1 hour session that includes:

1. A demonstration on how to use the Potter's Wheel.

2. You will then make 1 piece of pottery (cup, bowl, or unique creation) on the potter's wheel. 

3. Your session will then end but our team here at Woodside Ceramics will trim, fire, glaze, and refire your piece again before you can come back to the studio and pick up your piece. Alternatively, shipping can be organised for an additional cost of $15.

Pick up is approx. 6 - 8 weeks from the completion of your session.

Where: WOODSIDE CERAMICS, 20 McKenzie Street, Dayboro QLD

Times:

Thursdays: 6pm - 7pm

All materials are supplied including clay, tools, towels and aprons. Please wear comfy clothes that you are happy to have splattered in clay - it's half the fun!

We use a variety of clays in the studio depending on what is available at the time and your piece will be finished with a white studio glaze. 

Each class has a maximum of 4 people so our sessions are fully immersive with lots of guidance.

In line with current COVID-19 practices Woodside Ceramics welcomes all patrons to attend our classes. However, If you are feeling unwell or show symptoms of a cough or flu please do not attend class. 

ACCESSABILITY

Woodside Ceramics is wheelchair access friendly. A combination of using your hands along with your feet is necessary to power the wheel, assistance can be organised. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us through our email at hello@woodsideceramics.com.au

CANCELLATION POLICY
If you wish to reschedule your lesson, please allow at least 24 hours notice. Please note, failure to give sufficient notice or repeated rescheduling can result in loss of your lesson fee. 

Lessons can be transferred to another person, however no refunds will be issued.
