Kids Club - Hand building pottery workshops

Join Woodside Ceramics in Dayboro for this great workshop learning how to make hand built pottery items. 

Each class will be a seperate project so you can come once or many times. Each class we will make something small like an animal or a mask or a little bowl or cup or just an hour of playing with clay.

This is a great opportunity for Home Schooled or Unschooled children to be guided in a creative pursuit or it could be used as an after-school destress before they come home for homework or try to jump on their devices. Why Not pop in as a school holiday treat to keep them off the screens and doing something creative.

This class is beginner friendly and needs no experience.

It's a 1 hour session that includes:

1. A demonstration on how to create coils or pinch pots.

2. You can then create something out of clay depending on what we do in the session, most classes will be guided with a project with some sessions being open to creative freedom.

3. Your session will then end but our team here at Woodside Ceramics will fire your piece twice so the piece will become strong. It will be left blank or unglazed, the thought behind this is that you could paint the pieces in acrylic paints and seal yourself when you get home as a follow up project. 

Pick up is approx. 6 - 8 weeks from the completion of your session.

Adults or carers are welcome to join in on the class as its a great bonding experience, but if you wish to not be included Brian is a qualified and trained secondary teacher with over 10 years experience and holds a Bach. of education with all the necessary requirements to teach.

Time: Wednesdays: 1pm - 2pm or 3:30pm - 4:30pm

All materials are supplied including clay, tools, towels and aprons. Please wear comfy clothes that you are happy to have splattered in clay - it's half the fun!

Each class has a maximum of 8 people.

This class is suitable for children over the age of 7.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If you wish to reschedule your lesson, please allow at least 24 hours notice. Please note, failure to give sufficient notice or repeated rescheduling can result in loss of your lesson fee. 

Lessons can be transferred to another person, however no refunds will be issued.
